Identifying Feelings
Kate Bornstein’s “Scale of Feelings”
Kate Bornstein has developed “The Hello Cruel World Scale of Feelings.” She lists many feelings from love and bliss to hopelessness and despair. By identifying how you currently feel (whether in general, or in relation to a particular health issue), you can use the scale to find a slightly better group of feelings to work towards. It’s not likely that anyone, even the healthiest person, could move from despair to bliss in one big leap. Instead, we work towards a better feeling or state of health in stages, in small steps.
